ECOFILM F –foils for floor heating
	ECOFILM heating foils are intended for use as floor heating for dry structures – under floating floors or with the use of supplementary HEAT-PAK underlays under PVC and carpets. As the temperature of a floor with floor heating shouldn’t exceed 27°C, floor foils are produced only with wattages that cannot cause the foil to exceed this temperature when all the installation conditions are obeyed, namely 80 W/m², 60 W/m², and for buildings which are thermally insulated very well (LEH), 40 W/m². These heating foils are offered with widths of 600 and 1000 mm. Because other layers cannot be glued directly onto the heating foil, it isn’t possible to use it e.g. under floor tiles; it is, however, possible to install it under carpets and PVC with the use of HEAT-PAK underlays.

ECOFILM C –foils for ceiling heating
	ECOFILM C ceiling foils are intended for use in plasterboard structures as ceiling-mounted radiant heating. The foils heat the plasterboard ceiling boards which then behave like radiant panels. It is the same principle as in the case of ECOSUN panels. However, the system works at half the temperature with the heat distributed over a larger surface. The radiation is less intensive, the room is covered better and therefore this system is more comfortable. As the higher temperature of the suspended ceiling is not a problem in the case of a ceiling structure, unlike with the floor, ECOFILM-C foils are produced with wattages of 140 W/m² and 200 W/m². The widths of the foils are 500 and 400 mm so that they correspond to the grid system of the plasterboard structures.

ECOFILM Set – sets for Do-It-Yourself installation
	The laying of ECOFILM foils can also be carried out as a do-it-yourself installation, namely with the use of ECOFILM Sets. A set consists of a strip of heating foil (of various lengths), equipped with 5m long connecting leads. The whole surface area or only a part of it can be covered with the sets – e.g. just in front of a sofa or a kitchen unit. Installation is simple and it doesn’t require any intervention into the construction of the floor. You obtain the needed number of sets according to the required size of the heated area, lay them next to one another and place the connecting leads along the wall and into the wiring box. When ECOFILM Sets are used, there is no need to connect the foils on the construction, requiring the use of connecting materials (connectors, conductors, insulation) and special tools, which is necessary in the case of foils sold by the metre.

After the installation of the heating foil, the laying of laminate flooring can be carried out immediately – it is not necessary to wait for the concrete base to mature. Thanks to the minimum thickness of the foil (only 0.4m), ECOFILM Sets can also be installed only in certain parts of rooms (e.g. in front of a sofa or a kitchen unit).

ECOFILM MHF
	Heating foil which protects bathroom mirrors from misting. The foils have double lamination (protection against the damp environment) and they are equipped with a self-adhesive surface which is glued to the rear side of the mirror. The foils are designated for a voltage of 230V and they can be switched on in several ways; most frequently, they are connected to the lighting of the mirror so that they are brought into operation when the light is switched on.

	If you need something special for your application, we offer heating foils with a lower voltage of 48 V or foils with an output of up to 300 W/m². As all the possibilities for the use of these foils cannot be listed here, the same being true for all the forms of use which are not recommended, please contact FENIX’s technical department to discuss the use of specific heating foils.
