From Jeseník to the whole world
The FENIX Group was founded in 1990 as one of the first private companies in the Czech Republic.
The founding member was the manufacturing company FENIX s.r.o., and the first products we successfully launched on the market were ECOSUN electric radiant heating Panels. As demand grew, our product range expanded rapidly. This was followed by ECOFLEX electric convectors, ECOFLOOR heating cables and mats, and ECOFILM heating films, including a wide range of heating system regulation and accessories. Since 2016, in collaboration with our AERS development centre, we have also been involved in the development and manufacture of Battery storage systems for households and industry.
Our dynamic growth has gradually necessitated an expansion of our organisational structure. To maintain maximum flexibility, we have opted for a holding company structure comprising individual, independent subsidiaries. Our holding company currently comprises eleven trading companies. We are one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of flat electric heating systems and export our products to more than 70 countries across four continents.
Throughout our existence, we have remained an exclusively Czech company with no foreign ownership. However, we have successfully integrated seven companies based outside the Czech Republic into our structure. Consistent quality is key for us – since 1997, our manufacturing company, FENIX s.r.o., has been has held an ISO certificate for its Quality Management System, which we successfully renew every three years (most recently in accordance with the stringent ISO 9001:2015 standard).

With the acquisition of this Scottish company in 2003, we added a true legend in the industry to the FENIX holding company. FLEXEL has been developing and manufacturing ECOFILM carbon heating films since 1972. By combining its heritage with our resources, we have expanded the product range of this British subsidiary to include the full FENIX range.
Our history spanning more than fifty years gives us a huge advantage – our technologies, materials and manufacturing processes have been thoroughly tested, and we therefore stand fully behind the safety and reliability of ECOFILM foils. Our Scottish plant is our key production centre for these films, which we now successfully supply worldwide as a holding company; at the same time, we use this facility to flexibly offer and supply the full range of FENIX products to the UK market.

In 2010, we expanded our holding company group to include the French company ACSO, which has been operating successfully in the French market since 1986. This manufacturing and sales subsidiary specialises in modular low-temperature radiant heating. FENIX radiant underfloor and ceiling systems thus bring thermal comfort, savings and reliability to family homes, commercial premises and large industrial buildings throughout France.

The future of the energy sector lies in self-sufficiency, independence and efficient consumption management. Since 2016, we have been developing the technology company AERS within the FENIX holding, which has become a centre of unique expertise and innovation. At our production plant in Jeseník, we manufacture complete electricity storage systems – ranging from domestic HES and CES storage units to large-capacity industrial MES and SAS stations. Furthermore, a unique algorithm developed by AERS in collaboration with the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT) enables our customers to trade smartly on the spot market and maximise the use of energy from photovoltaic systems.
