ECOFLOOR heating cables and mats

ECOFLOOR electric heating cables and mats: the leading choice in underfloor heating

ECOFLOOR electric heating cables and mats offer a modern solution for large-area underfloor heating. They are characterised by low energy consumption and an even distribution of temperature throughout the room, which significantly enhances thermal comfort. They are suitable not only for smaller areas in bathrooms, hallways or kitchens, but also function reliably as the main source of heating for flats and residential buildings. Thanks to the system’s flexibility, ECOFLOOR can be adapted to various types of spaces and output requirements.

In terms of functionality, there is no difference between a heating cable and a heating mat – the mat consists of a heating cable attached to a backing fabric. The difference lies primarily in the method of installation. A cable loop offers greater flexibility during installation and is also suitable for irregularly shaped areas, but it is more labour-intensive to install. Heating mats allow for quick and easy installation with an even distribution of heat output and are ideal for rooms with regular shapes.

ECOFLOOR heating mats and heating cables are most commonly used in direct heating systems, both for primary heating and for underfloor comfort heating. They are installed directly beneath the floor covering, usually within a flexible screed or self-levelling screed. Cables with a small diameter and lower power consumption are used, ensuring a small loop spacing and uniform floor heating. The advantages include easy installation and flexible operation.

" ECOFLOOR offers maintenance-free electric underfloor heating with a long service life and uniform thermal comfort. "

ECOFLOOR heating systems are not designed solely for use under tiled floors. They can also be safely installed under vinyl or cork flooring. The cables and mats are maintenance-free and, when properly designed and installed, have a service life of 30 to 50 years; for residential properties, they even come with a lifetime guarantee. Most faults are caused by installation errors, not manufacturing defects. In the event of damage, the system automatically activates its safety features, and repairs can be carried out locally without the need to remove the entire floor.
