HES battery storage: 13.7 kWh–41.1 kWh

The compact HES battery storage system is a smart energy hub for modern households. It not only provides energy storage and a backup power supply, but also handles photovoltaic control and advanced energy management. A home battery storage system will help you make the most of your own electricity generation, increase your energy self-sufficiency and reduce your running costs.

Smart home energy management for households

The HES battery storage system continuously monitors the output of the photovoltaic power plant, the household’s current consumption and the status of energy storage. The adaptive control system automatically decides when to store energy, use it within the property or set it aside for future consumption. The battery therefore not only stores electricity but also ensures its efficient use.

HES 13.7 kWh–41.1 kWh

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

The HES home battery acts as a reliable backup power source for the property. It continuously monitors the parameters of the distribution network and, in the event of a power cut, ensures that selected circuits are supplied with power immediately without any interruption to operations. Households thus remain functional even during distribution network faults and gain greater energy resilience.

Development, manufacturing and servicing in the Czech Republic

We develop and manufacture HES battery storage systems entirely in the Czech Republic as part of the FENIX Group. The development of control algorithms, the design of the storage systems and system management are all carried out under the manufacturer’s full control. This means you have access to a solution designed for the conditions of the Czech energy sector, direct technical support and readily available servicing.

A versatile energy source for households

The HES home battery storage system offers the power and capacity to make full use of both self-generated energy and low-cost energy from the grid. It therefore optimises costs even in households with high electricity consumption (electric heating, electric vehicles, etc.).

Modular battery capacity

Every household has different energy requirements. The HES storage system therefore offers the option of expanding its storage capacity in the future, should the need arise. We supply the battery in versions with capacities of 13.7 kWh, 27.4 kWh or 41.1 kWh.

Make the most of the spot market for electricity

The energy sector is changing, and with it the way households buy their electricity. The HES battery storage system continuously assesses the state of the battery, your own electricity generation and current spot prices on the spot market, and decides when to store energy and when to use it. This gives you greater control over your energy costs and enables you to respond effectively to price fluctuations.

Who is the HES battery suitable for?

Smaller firms
Business premises
Hotels
Warehouses

Frequently Asked Questions about HES Batteries for households

The optimal battery storage capacity is based on the property’s consumption pattern and the size of the connected solar PV system. A standard domestic solar PV system with an installed capacity of up to 10 kWp is typically capable of generating 40–50 kWh of electricity per day in optimal weather conditions. A higher battery capacity is also useful when actively taking advantage of fluctuations in spot electricity prices throughout the day (it is possible to store a larger volume of cheap energy for later consumption or sale; a larger battery also makes it possible to bridge periods when prices are high). If it is not anticipated that the maximum capacity will be fully utilised, it is possible to install a HES variant with a reduced number of cells, which can, however, be easily expanded at a later date if required.

Based on the consumption data and electricity bills for a specific property, we are able to calculate the approximate annual savings that the installation of a photovoltaic system, together with Battery storage and, where applicable, a switch to buying and selling electricity at spot prices, could deliver. If suitable data for the calculation is not available, it is possible to compare current costs with the results achieved by one of our long-term monitored reference projects.

The equipment is usually installed in the utility area of the house, away from the living areas (e.g. in a garage with its own entrance, etc.). The space must be well ventilated and maintain a stable temperature. To connect the unit, you will need to install AC cabling (a supply line from the electricity meter panel and outlets to the main domestic distribution board) and cables from the photovoltaic panels. An Ethernet cable is required to enable communication between the control unit and the home network. The specific installation parameters are always determined on a case-by-case basis.
