The result is lower costs, greater energy self-sufficiency and maximum utilisation of the potential of every kilowatt-hour stored.

Predicta does not merely work with the system’s current status. Using predictive algorithms, it also assesses future generation from renewable sources, the building’s expected consumption and trends in electricity prices. This enables it to plan battery charging and discharging in advance and to use energy at the moment when it delivers the greatest economic or operational benefit.

The software continuously monitors spot price trends and automatically determines the optimal use of energy. When prices are low, it may instruct the system to store energy; conversely, when prices are high, it may instruct the system to utilise energy storage or on-site generation. In doing so, it adheres to the current 15-minute interval of the spot market. This principle of price arbitrage helps to reduce energy costs without the need for user intervention. However, if necessary, the user can manually intervene in the plan at any time.

This example is from our case study: Kalvodova Detached House, Jeseník
A refurbished detached house fitted with electric heating, with a total annual electricity consumption of 13 MWh. Energy generation and management are provided by a 10 kWp photovoltaic system, together with a 41 kWh HES battery storage system and smart control software. Thanks to this solution, electricity costs are reduced by approximately 50%.

The Predicta solution includes a web interface providing access to both current and historical data. Users have access to an overview of production, the building’s energy consumption by phase, battery cycles and the savings achieved. Thanks to clear reports, it is easy to assess the economic benefits of the entire energy system and identify further opportunities for optimisation.

The Predicta control system is supplied as part of all FENIX battery storage systems. Use of the system is free of charge for the entire duration.

The Predicta software is being developed in collaboration with Czech developers and is designed for the Czech energy sector. Thanks to in-house development, the FENIX Group is able to continuously incorporate changes to legislation, the energy market and customer requirements into the system. Users therefore gain not only software, but also a long-term partner for the development of their energy operations.
