With radiant convectors, up to 50% of the heat is transferred by radiation. This radiant component significantly enhances heating comfort, which is why radiant convectors are the most comfortable heaters in the direct-heating convector category.
Solius Digital radiant convectors are fitted with a digital thermostat featuring a weekly programme; however, the thermostat can also be switched to manual mode. Whilst a standard convector transfers virtually 100 per cent of its energy exclusively by convection (air flow), a radiant convector transfers a significant proportion of its thermal energy by radiation. It thus combines the advantages of infrared radiant heating (energy-efficient operation, even temperature distribution) and convection heating (good dynamic response, favourable price-to-performance ratio). In the direction of the radiant convector’s radiation, the effect of the so-called ‘cold floor’ is also partially eliminated. The convectors are finished in white (RAL 9016).
