The PDS1P heating cable, with a power output of 40 W/m, is a specialised product designed for single-use applications to ensure controlled concrete curing during the winter months. Its robust two-core circuit enables safe concrete pouring and compliance with construction procedures at temperatures down to -10 °C. The heating cables prevent the water in the concrete mix from freezing until the concrete has cured. They thus provide a reliable solution for preventing downtime and extending the construction season, even in freezing weather.
The 7 mm diameter cable features full protective shielding, is designed for industrial applications and complies with the IEC 60800 technical standard. A key advantage is its ‘Plug & Play’ installation. The heating circuit itself has a high IP 67 protection rating and is fitted with a 2-metre-long cold end, terminated with a Schuko plug for connection to 230 V. Installations and connections on site can therefore be carried out without the need for specialist intervention in the electrical installation. Once the curing process is complete, the supply cable is simply cut off, and the now-defunct heating cable remains embedded in the concrete block.
