The ADPSV heating cable offers a reliable solution for frost protection of roof gutters and downpipes, effectively preventing the formation of ice dams and protecting the guttering system from damage. A power output of 20 W/m is standard for so-called de-icing systems. At altitudes up to 1,000 metres above sea level, the cable is usually installed in a loop to achieve an optimal power output of 40 W/m.

The heating core consists of two solid strands braided from 7 wires (so-called braided resistors). Each resistance element has its own insulation, which is covered by a second shared insulating layer, a protective braid and an outer sheath with UV protection. This design, with a diameter of 5.0–5.9 mm, guarantees a long service life even when continuously exposed to adverse weather conditions. Given its two-core design, the cable is terminated with a single halogen-free cold end measuring 5 metres in length.
