The MADPSP 40 W/m heating cable is designed for demanding outdoor anti-freeze systems and industrial applications. Its main advantage is its high mechanical and thermal resistance, which makes it the only cable in our range that is also suitable for installation beneath an asphalt surface. It can withstand temperatures of up to 240 °C for short periods, so hot asphalt can be laid over it.
The cable core consists of a salt-coated resistance element, protected by double insulation, a thick protective braid and an outer sheath with UV protection. The cable has a robust diameter of 6.3–9 mm. With a high linear power consumption of 40 W/m, the system offers very rapid heat-up, ensuring reliable operation even in exposed locations such as steep access ramps or helipads.
The cable features a single halogen-free cold end measuring 5 metres in length, which eliminates the need to loop the circuit back to the power supply point during installation.
Available voltage variants:
- MADPSP (230 V): standard solution supplied in pre-assembled circuits ranging from 8.5 m (340 W) to 180 m (7,350 W).
- MADPSP (400 V): a variant optimised for large areas, available in lengths from 15 m (600 W) to 222 m (9,000 W).
