The PFP automatic heating cable offers a reliable and user-friendly solution for pipe freeze protection. The circuit is fitted with an integrated contact thermostat, which switches the heating on when the pipe temperature drops below +3 °C and automatically switches it off once +10 °C is reached. This principle ensures fully maintenance-free and energy-efficient operation, with the circuit only heating when there is a real risk of frost. The robust two-core design with UV protection and a high protection rating (IP 66/67) ensures a long service life and safe operation.
A key advantage for the installation itself is the so-called ‘plug-in’ design. The cable features a 1.5-metre-long power lead fitted with a standard mains plug. The connection itself therefore does not require a certified electrician to carry out any work on the electrical installation, and the system is immediately ready for DIY installations. The cable is secured lengthways to the pipe using self-adhesive aluminium tape, which not only holds the circuit in place but also ensures optimal heat distribution and transfer from the cable sheath directly to the pipe wall.
