This is a smaller version of the S-MAT heated rubber mat. As the name suggests (W-work), W-MAT anti-fatigue heating mats are designed to protect workers from cold floors – most commonly in industrial workplaces where the nature of the work requires workers to remain in a small, confined area for long periods. These areas are characterised by low ambient temperatures; moreover, standing for long periods on a cold, hard floor is extremely uncomfortable and taxing. Using the W-MAT mat significantly improves the comfort of working conditions. The mats have a power consumption of just 68 W, making them extremely energy-efficient to run. The mats are not designed to provide heating or to increase the user’s thermal comfort; however, the heated mat reliably eliminates the chill felt in the feet resulting from the user’s prolonged stay on a cold floor.
