The PFP-W heating cable is designed to protect the collection tank and the heat pump’s condensate drain from freezing. It offers a fully maintenance-free solution that reliably prevents ice build-up, thereby preventing damage to the system itself.

A key design feature is the bimetallic thermostat located directly at the end of the heating cable. Heating is thus precisely controlled according to the temperature at the most critical point, which is usually the pipe outlet itself. Thanks to its high IP 67 protection rating, the cable can be safely inserted directly into the drain pipe. The system operates fully automatically – it switches on when the pipe temperature drops below +3 °C and switches off once it reaches +10 °C.

Installation is made easy by the ‘Plug & Play’ system. The cable is fitted with a 1.5-metre-long power lead terminated with a standard plug. This means that no specialist electrical work is required for connection, and the system is immediately ready for use.
