F-BOARD

These are special floor insulation panels made from extruded polystyrene, designed to be used in conjunction with ECOFLOOR heating mats and heating cables.

Under standard conditions, a floor fitted with electric underfloor heating takes approximately 1–1.5 hours to heat up from 20°C to 28°C. However, with F-BOARD supplementary insulation, the floor can be warmed through in half the time stated, depending on ambient conditions – see the article ‘Measuring the rate at which a floor warms up’. You will particularly appreciate this feature when using supplementary underfloor heating for added comfort – for example, in the bathroom or kitchen.

F-BOARD insulation is coated on both sides with a finishing layer reinforced with glass fibre. This provides greater rigidity and mechanical strength to the insulation, making the boards easier to lay. At the same time, excellent adhesion is guaranteed for the flexible adhesives used to bond the individual layers (substrate, tiles). The insulation is available in thicknesses of 6 and 10 mm.
