Radiant heat primarily heats solid objects and the animals themselves, rather than the air, thereby perfectly mimicking natural sunlight. This method of heating contributes to the animals’ good condition, healthy metabolism and overall comfort.

Creating optimal temperature zones

To ensure proper thermoregulation for most terrarium animals, it is essential to have both warmer and cooler areas within the enclosure. Heating films and strips are therefore normally applied only to a specific part of the terrarium’s surface area, typically covering half to two-thirds of the enclosure. This creates a pleasant temperature gradient, allowing the animal to constantly and naturally choose a spot with the temperature that best suits it at any given moment.

Safe and flexible installation

The method of installing electric heating can be flexibly adapted to the specific conditions and the material of the tank.
