The specifications and functions are the same as for the EM 524 89, but this controller allows two applications to be monitored and controlled independently at the same time. Essentially, it comprises two EM 524 89 controllers in one, which is why it is larger and occupies 12 modules on a DIN rail. Both zones require connection to their own set of sensors – either eaves sensors or open-area sensors, depending on the application. As there are three possible combinations of outdoor applications (2x eaves, 2x open area or eaves+open area), the sensors are not included with the controller – see Sensors for open areas and Sensors for roof eaves and downpipes – and must be ordered separately.
