Thermostats for control panels mounted on a DIN rail have a separate sensor connected by a cable. Depending on the application, you can choose the most suitable type, such as a pipe-mounted sensor or a room sensor for measuring the ambient temperature.

Thermostats with a separate sensor are designed for applications where temperature measurement is required in a way that cannot be achieved using a wall-mounted thermostat. This may involve measuring the surface temperature of pipework or other vessels, measuring the temperature of liquids, monitoring storage facilities for flammable or volatile substances, or applications where it is desirable to prevent unrestricted access to the thermostat by installing it within a control cabinet.
