ECOFLOOR LDTS heating mats have been installed in the pews of the choir area of the Sagrada Familia basilica. The mats were made to measure and shaped to fit the design of the pews, ensuring even and targeted heating for those seated without interfering with the historic features of the interior. The system operates on the principle of radiant heating, which provides thermal comfort directly to users rather than heating the entire volume of the cathedral’s high-ceilinged space. The installation is concealed, maintenance-free and allows for rapid heating up before the start of services or other events.
ECOFLOOR ADPSV 20 W/m heating cables were used in the sacristy, installed within the floor structure with a focus on even temperature distribution and the protection of the building’s structural elements. The entire system is controlled by a wireless regulation system, which allows for precise zone settings and flexible operation according to current needs. This ensures comfort for the clergy and staff whilst maintaining energy efficiency. The solution respects the architectural integrity of the building and requires no visible technical components.
