Nevrkla Farm

The Nevrkla Farm has increased its energy self-sufficiency thanks to a photovoltaic system with smart Battery storage, and is saving on costs.
MES battery storage systems

The farm’s greatest energy consumption stems from the cooling systems used in the long-term potato storage facilities. There is also a small joinery workshop on the premises. Relying solely on electricity supplied by the distribution grid was costly and posed a risk in the event of power cuts. The solution was to install a 99 kWp photovoltaic power plant combined with a Battery storage system.

At the heart of the system is the MES containerised Battery storage facility, with an installed capacity of 192 kWh and a power output of 150 kW. The storage system is fitted with two battery racks and is designed to allow for future expansion up to 576 kWh. This enables it to cover peak demand and make efficient use of energy generated by the photovoltaic system.

Farm Owner's Testimonial

The total investment in battery storage and related technologies amounted to approximately 6 million CZK excluding VAT. The project is designed to make use of smart algorithms in the future, which will enable the storage facility to be operated in line with spot electricity prices. Thanks to the solution from FENIX, the farm is reducing costs, increasing self-sufficiency and strengthening its energy resilience.
