During the refurbishment of a flat in Barcelona, ECOFLOOR LDTS heating mats were installed as the main source of heating. The mats were laid in a thin layer of self-levelling compound, over which the final floor covering was then laid, enabling a clean and modern interior to be maintained without radiators or visible heating elements. The system operates on the principle of large-area radiant heating and ensures an even distribution of temperature throughout the room. Thanks to their minimal installation height, the mats were the ideal solution for a refurbishment requiring no major structural alterations. The installation is concealed, maintenance-free and has a long service life.
The heating is controlled by TFT Wi-Fi thermostats, which allow each room to be regulated independently and offer remote control via a mobile app. This enables users to respond flexibly to current operational needs and optimise energy consumption. The project also included heating films fitted behind the bathroom mirrors, which ensure they demist quickly after showering. The entire system contributes to greater user comfort, energy efficiency and a modern standard of living.
